MARKETING and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT---Many of the tasks of getting the word out the gaming community at large entail getting to people who do not already know about what we are doing. We first have to DISCOVER the pockets of potential members and then get the message to them in a way they will be able to receive and respond to it. As such, we are constantly combing the Internet and gaming communities at large for leaders and influential writers, participants, gaming skill leaders and firms that are supporting gaming in various fashions. Loads of data are being collected. Collection and assessment of data in multiple areas of interest is an area where we can use all the help possible.
Once we find the communities we are interested in we need to get outbound messages together and into their communities in a positive fashion to gain their attention and respect. Writers with the ability to fashion messages and collateral both online and hard copy are welcome (and appreciated). Communications specialists professionally who are also gamers are a great find for us. They know the sweet spot to help apply our message and they know how to best package the message for maximum effectiveness. We would welcome volunteers with expertise and experience in any of the following.
