We’re from Texas.  ‘Nuff said.

Actually we have a team of dedicated staff and software engineers throughout the US and around the world.  We bring them together to focus on specific busienss needs our clients ask us to address.  But as different as we are as individuals, we all share a number of values that have long been summarized by the Cowboys of early America in what has been called the Code of the West.

We try to operate as the Cowboys have done for hundreds of years in our relationships and our approach to fullfilling commitments and responsibilities.  And all our partners and staff members are in complete sync with that approach to business and relationships as well.  It works for us and our clients appreciate it as well.

The Code of the West….

  • Live Each Day with COURAGE
  • Take PRIDE in your Work
  • Always FINISH what you START
  • Do what HAS TO BE DONE
  • Be TOUGH but FAIR
  • When you make a PROMISE, KEEP IT
  • Ride for the BRAND
  • TALK less and SAY more
  • Remember, Some Things are NOT FOR SALE
  • Know where to DRAW THE LINE

Although the Code of the West was unwritten, every cowboy knew what it was. The Ten Principles are Jim Owen's distillation of the timeless, universal cowboy values that are still relevant to our lives today. They are at the heart of cowboy ethics and of Jim's book, Cowboy Ethics: What Wall Street Can Learn from the Code of the West.
  • As a business, CompeteSoft operates pretty much along the same lines.  We also value and cultivate a strong focus on the customer, creativity, a team approach to solving business problems and a straight forward communications approach with each other and our clients----no room for politics or self-aggrandizing.
You can see a vivid example of our approach to running our business in the simple but powerful and insightful Rules of the Garage formulated by the founders of Hewlett Packard when they were a startup and literally operating out of a garage in Menlo Park, CA
