.DotNet---We have a suite of Dot Net Products that are designed to work within Windows server environments.
Open Source---We also have Open Source products that are designed in php for use within a Joomla Content Management system and capable of fitting within several others.

We highlight our MODULES for the following reasons...
1. Most web based projects will share several key FUNCTIONS that once implemented can be continuously refined and expanded in their feature set and capabilities. Things such as registration, create profile, catalog, Facebook login, friends, etc. As they are refined and expanded over time they become very powerful building blocks for each additional client that uses the functionality and wants to do something "just a little different"
2. Many of our modules have been adapted for similar but completely unrelated purposes over time. But the UNDERLYING functionality remains the same and version changes can be propogated across various implementations easily. Each client benefits from the efforts of the next one using the core modules.
3. Many modules have themselves been developed by CompeteSoft to provide additional tools for our clients as they USE and DEPLOY the custom software we build for them. Administrator features, reporting features, automated updating, and similar features have all been created over time. And they are always created with an eye towards re-use or re-purposing in mind.
4. Even the most generic Open Source modules were developed to TASK A in FASHION A under the conditions of A. But your project will undoubtedly be in version B and require customization or modification of the generic Open Source module under consideration. It is oftentimes faster and better to build some key capabilities from scratch than to back up and have to learn then modify the code of another developer [this is tough for a lot of managers to grasp and something that comes up quite often]
Important to note: Product as we use the term herein does not mean "Shrink wrapped" or "Consumer, retail version". You cannot order a product, install it and make it do what we describe it doing in our product overviews. We start with our product or module under consideration then CONFIGURE it (custom work as necessary) to the specific requirements of our client. Many of the modules and products CAN be EXPANDED into a commercial, retail version. But it is not our approach currently to do so.
